Stability analysis
Use Stability analysis to calculate buckling shapes and critical factors for the selected load combinations.
Buckling shapes
The table lists all available load combinations in the project.
- Load combination – load combination that is used to calculate the buckling shape
- Rqd. – the amount of buckling shapes that is required from the analysis
- Calc. – the amount of buckling shapes that were calculated in analysis
Settings
- Rqd. as positive only – when enabled, the required number of shapes must come from positive shapes only (shapes with positive critical factors). This means that the analysis continues until required amount of positive shapes are found, which may require calculating many additional shapes. When unchecked, any shape will count towards the required amount
- Max no. of iteration – available only when Rqd. as positive only is enabled. Sets how many analysis iterations are allowed when searching for the required number of positive shapes. If the required amount is not found within the allowed iterations, the calculation stops without reaching the required number
