Time history, ground acceleration
Use Time history, ground acceleration to analyse the structural response to ground-induced accelerations over time.

- Setup… – opens the Time history, ground acceleration options dialogue
Time history, ground acceleration – setup

Calculations
-
Level acceleration spectra – enables calculation of the acceleration response spectra
- ΔT – time step for the spectra
- T end – end time for the spectra
- q – behaviour factor
-
Time history calculation – enables full time-domain calculation
- Save every nth step – save results at every nth time step
- t end – total duration of the time-history analysis
Integration scheme
Choose the numerical integration method used for the time-domain solution:
- Newmark – default integration scheme
- Wilson-Θ – alternative integration method with additional numerical damping
Rayleigh damping matrix
- α – mass-proportional damping coefficient
- β – stiffness-proportional damping coefficient
Damping factor
- ξ – percentage damping used in the response spectra calculation
