Panel Bar
The panel Bar contains tools for creating and modifying standard bar elements such as beams, columns, and trusses. These elements are used to model linear structural members with specific material, section, and stiffness settings.
- ↘ Beam - define horizontal or inclined linear elements for flexural and axial load-bearing
- ↘ Column - insert vertical load-bearing elements typically used in multi-storey structures
- ↘ Truss member - define axial-only elements used in trusses and tension systems
A special expandable icon in this panel opens a group of Bar component tools.
- ↘ Intermediate section - add local cross-sectional modifications along a bar
- ↘ Haunch - create tapered strengthening zones at bar ends or supports
- ↘ Apex - insert a strengthening or stiffness-enhancing detail at bar intersections
- ↘ Column corbel - define corbels at the top or bottom of vertical bars for load transfer
- ↘ Post-tensioned cable for bars - add a tendon profile to model post-tensioning along a bar
Bar panel also has the interactive clickable panel name that will take you to the relevant settings in the Settings menu.
