Intermediate section
Use the Intermediate section tool to insert local cross-sectional changes along an existing bar element.
When you select Intermediate section, a tool palette opens.
Main tools
- Define - place a new intermediate section along a bar
- Properties - check or edit the properties of an existing intermediate section. Opens the Default settings dialogue for the selected elements
- Physical alignment - adjust the vertical placement of the intermediate section
- Default settings - set default values for the section and eccentricity (read below in more detail)

Default settings dialogue
When you press the Default settings button, a dialogue window opens.
This dialogue contains two tabs: Section and Eccentricity.
