Panel Support
The panel Support lets you place supports with any combination of translational and rotational stiffness on points, lines or surfaces. Use these tools to describe real-world connections such as bearings, elastic pads, masonry ledges, soil springs or edge restraints.
- ↘ Point support - assign an individual spring or fixed support to a single node
- ↘ Point support group - create and manage named collections of point supports for easy reuse
- ↘ Line support - place a continuous support (spring or fixed) along a line such as a wall-top, slab edge or pile cap beam
- ↘ Line support group - create and manage named collections of line supports under a common identifier so they can be activated, hidden or re-parameterised together
- ↘ Surface support group - generate an orthotropic spring bed (or rigid support) over an arbitrary surface, e.g. sub-grade reaction for raft slabs or diaphragm restraints
Support panel also has an interactive clickable panel name that will take you to the relevant settings in the Settings menu.
