Improved buckling length management

FEM-Design 25 improves buckling length definition for bar elements by accounting for the direction-dependent restraint effects of connected members.

Connections that do not restrain buckling in a given direction no longer introduce unnecessary subdivision points in the buckling shape.

Buckling restraint effects

In addition, buckling settings defined for a bar element are now preserved when the element is modified along its axis, for example lengthened or shortened, instead of being reset to default values.

This prevents unintended loss of user-defined buckling parameters and supports more efficient iterative modelling workflows.
