Composite design
The Composite design tab contains the tools and settings for composite design workflows.
Composite design tab uses general design tools and settings, and also contains composite-specific design tools.
The general design tools and settings include:
- Design calculations – access design calculation results and design checks
- Design results display – view the results of design calculations
- Design groups – manage design groups
- Applied quantity – view and manage applied quantities

Composite design specific features include:
- ↘ Configure design – configure design settings and parameters
- ↘ Design subtype selector – select the active composite design subtype
- ↘ Buckling length – define and adjust buckling length factors for composite members
- ↘ Calculation parameters – set parameters used in composite design calculations
- ↘ Auto design – set up and run automatic composite design
- ↘ Manual design – apply manual composite design settings
- ↘ Check – run composite design checks and review utilization
