Calculation parameters
Calculation parameters tool is used to set the design and verification parameters for foundation elements.
The behavior of the tool depends on the selected design subtype.
Parameters for isolated foundation
When you select the tool, you need to select an isolated foundation element. The Calculation parameters dialogue then opens.
- Check absolute settlement – limit value – checkbox and numeric field to enable and set the maximum allowable absolute settlement limit.
- Cast-in-situ – radio button to specify that the foundation is cast-in-situ.
- Precast – radio button to specify that the foundation is precast.
Parameters for wall foundation
When you select the tool, you need to select a wall foundation element. The Calculation parameters dialogue then opens.
- Check absolute settlement – limit value – checkbox and numeric field to enable and set the maximum allowable absolute settlement limit.
- Max. distance of calculated sections – numeric field to set the maximum spacing between design sections along the wall foundation.
Parameters for foundation slab
When you select the tool for the foundation slab subtype, a tool palette opens instead of a dialogue.
The tool palette contains two tools:
- Properties – opens the Calculation parameters dialogue where you set the design parameters applied to the foundation slab.
- Check point – allows you to select a point on the foundation slab for which the design check calculations are performed.
