Configure design
Configure tool in the Concrete design tab allows users to set up and manage design settings and parameters for concrete elements.
When you select the Configure design tool, the RC Design configuration dialog opens.
Options for configuring concrete design include:
2nd order effect calculation method
- Nominal stiffness – select nominal stiffness for 2nd order effect calculation method
- Nominal curvature – select nominal curvature for 2nd order effect calculation method
Crack width load combinations
- Quasi-permanent – select quasi-permanent load combination to be included in the crack width checks
- Frequent – select frequent load combination to be included in the crack width checks
- Characteristic – select characteristic load combination to be included in the crack width checks
Cracking calculation (EN-1992-1-1)
- Reopening cracks – enables reopening crack consideration in cracking calculation
- Use Eq. 7.14 as an upper limit for s r,max – applies Equation 7.14 as the upper limit for s r,max
- Set a lower limit of (h - d + 1,5φ) for hc,eff (7.3.2(3)) of bars – applies the lower limit rule for hc,eff according to 7.3.2(3)
