Configure design
Configure steel design tool in the Steel design tab allows you to set up design settings used for steel member checks.
When you select the Configure steel design tool, the Steel Design configuration dialog opens.
Interaction factors k_ij for interaction formula in 6.3.3. (4)
- Use Method 1 (EN1993-1-1: Annex A), if available – checkbox to apply Method 1 interaction factors when the required conditions are met.
The method is applied to the structural element when one of the following also applies:

in case of I, hollow, or rectangular sections where "lateral torsional buckling calculation set according to the general case" option is activated in the calculation parameters.
