2D View
Use the 2D View tool to change the view to a 2D section through the model at a selected location and angle.
tip
The created view can still be navigated in 3D space, but the view only shows parts of elements that were cut by the view plane.
When you select the 2D View tool from the menu, a new tool palette opens.
Main tools on the tool palette

Additional functions for Object plane
These functions are available only when you select the Object plane tool.

When you select the Dialog tool from the tool palette, a new dialogue window opens.

 | Use YZ negative plane function to create a 2D section view of the YZ plane of the global coordinate system. The view direction will be against the X axis. |
 | Use YZ positive plane function to create a 2D section view of the YZ plane of the global coordinate system. The view direction will be in the same direction as the X axis. |
 | Use XZ positive plane function to create a 2D section view of the XZ plane of the global coordinate system. The view direction will be in the same direction as the Y axis. |
 | Use XZ negative plane function to create a 2D section view of the XZ plane of the global coordinate system. The view direction will be against the Y axis. |
 | Use XY negative plane function to create a 2D section view of the XY plane of the global coordinate system. The view direction will be against the Z axis. |

- Distance from origin – use the numeric field to enter a value for the distance between the new 2D section view origin and the global coordinate system origin. The distance is always applied in the global X-axis direction
