Use the UCS (User Coordinate System) tool to change the user coordinate system for easier modelling.
When you select the UCS tool from the menu, a new tool palette opens.
Main tools on the tool palette
| Description | |
|---|---|
| Use Object plane tool to set the new UCS plane to the plane of an existing element. | |
| Use 3 points tool to define a new UCS by 3 points. | |
| Use Global system plane tool to set the new UCS to any of the 3 global system planes. | |
| Use Origin tool to move the origin point of the current UCS to a new location. The orientation of the UCS does not change. | |
| Use Reset to global coordinate system tool to reset the current UCS to the global system plane. | |
| Use the Move origin checkbox to allow or deny moving the origin point when defining a new UCS. |
