Coloured surface connections
The Coloured surface connections result shows connection force distribution on surface connections as a colour-based field result. It helps you evaluate how connection forces are distributed over connected surface areas for the selected analysis result context.
Coloured surface connections are available for:
- Load cases
- Load combinations
- Construction stages
- Seismic analysis
- Time history, ground acceleration
- Time history, excitation force
Result selection
To show Coloured surface connections, you must select additional settings from the result option lists.
Depending on the selected analysis context, one or more of the following parameters may need to be selected:
- connection component, for example Fx', Fy' or Fz'
- load case or load combination
- load case type for load case results
- construction stage
- seismic shape
- time step, for time history results
Only selections relevant to the selected analysis type are shown.
Result display
Coloured surface connections are displayed as Colour palette only.
In addition to the colour field, the display includes resultant vectors so you can read both the distributed pattern and the overall resultant behaviour of the surface connection result.
