Dynamic factors

The Dynamic factors analysis result shows the ratio between dynamic and static responses in the structure. This result helps you understand the dynamic amplification or reduction effects caused by time-dependent loading conditions.

Dynamic factors are available for:

  • Moving load dynamic
  • Time history, excitation force

Result selection

To show Dynamic factors, you must select additional settings from the result option lists.

Depending on the selected analysis context, one or more of the following parameters may need to be selected:

  • moving load
  • velocity
  • position
  • combination
  • time step, for time history results

Only selections relevant to the selected analysis type are shown.

Result display

Dynamic factors uses Colour palette display.
